Serial Data Acquisition

Serial data acquisition (sometimes referred to as serial I/O) products perform the same function as a data acquisition board or card, with greater efficiency. There is no need to interface with a computer’s internal ISA, PCI or PCMCIA bus, serial data acquisition modules use a serial interface.

The ADAM series modules accommodate multiple types and ranges of input. The type and range can be remotely selected by issuing commands from a host computer. One type of module satisfies many different tasks, which greatly simplifies design and maintenance

Get high speed connections you can count on, with the reliable Adam-5000 series. Special circuitry ensures clean, reliable communications and suppresses line noise. They can be conveniently controlled by the host computer via RS-485 or Ethernet network.

These low cost DAQ modules require only three commands for control. (A typical command is 4 bytes.) Configuration parameters are software programmable and stored in non-volatile memory.

Model 232DRIO provides a low-cost, easy-to-use solution for RS-232 serial port to discrete relay output applications. This general purpose control module can be used to sense external On/Off conditions and to control a variety of external devices. The PC interface connection is made through a standard DB9 female connector.

Multi-channel relay boards are SPDT for 24VDC or 120VAC at 10A max.
