Customer's Girlfriend Sends Mike an Email

Name:
Email :

Hey Mike,

This is the hapless girlfriend who shares an email account with a techie who subscribes to your newsletter.

The amount of dry poopey emails that we get in our inbox is criminal, and it's pathetic that the other electronic types are perpetrating the geek image that's out there by doing these incredibly boring emails. I mean come on? 'All you've ever wanted to learn about C++, Extensive Layer Management Plug-In for mental ray Pipeline? BRUTAL! Thank you for the sense of humour in your newsletters.

Mike - I think you need to start a 'how to write a cheese free newsletter course' I can think of many companies that need your help!

Signed,
Disgruntled Dish

B&B Internal Memos Leaked to the Public

Dear Friend & Subscriber,

According to USA Today, Cingular wireless leaked a memo to the press about their iPhone.  Apparently iPhone is gonna be separate from Cingular Music.

Funny thing about this memo, it reads like an FAQ that's about to go up on a corporate website.  Methinks they really just figured out they'd get in USA Today faster if they "leaked" it instead of sending out a normal press release.

(But of course the opinions expressed in this newsletter are those of Mike Fahrion only and not B&B Electronics, and the contents of this email have not been reviewed or approved by B&B or its subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors or Board Of Directors.)

Emboldened by Cingular, I am leaking my own memo today.  To you.  Please remember, Dear Reader, this information is HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL. Please do NOT share this with any reporters, news agencies, editors or TV stations.

PRIVATE INTERNAL MEMO - NOT FOR PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION

*B&B Industrial Radio Division Separate from B&B Music, But Still Compatible*

B&B's industrial grade radio modems are easy to install, and have range up to 40 miles.  They're RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 and Modbus compatible, requiring no additional converters, 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz models are available, and one unit (ZP9D) has 256-bit encryption, protecting your Modbus packets and MP3 files from prying eyes.

Power requirements are quite flexible, 10 to 48 VDC or 18 to 30 VAC.  All units have heavy duty DIN mount industrial grade cases and components.

B&B senior staff can review the product line online at the following secret web page:

OK, NOT EVERYTHING IS A BIG SECRET AROUND HERE...

The one thing that's not secret at B&B is the catalog.  As a matter of fact our biggest problem, as loyal readers will no doubt know, is Mailroom Theft.  The word is *so* out on our catalogs, that they're constantly being stolen from our customers' desks, throne rooms and post office boxes.  We've resorted to transporting these from printer to post office via Armored Truck.

Our quarterly Armored Truck Delivery is now complete, and catalogs are available to be securely shipped to you.  120 pages of pure geek bliss, as one customer said: "Hah, Mom and Dad, so you didn't want to get me the Mattel Shoot 'N Shell, now I can afford my own Ethernet to Serial converter! Take that!"
