The Digi One IA Modem makes it easy to remotely monitor, access, and troubleshoot industrial equipment over standard telephone lines. It is a v.90 56K RS-232 external serial modem specifically designed to handle the needs of the industrial automation industry. Its thin DIN Rail mount, 9-30V DC power with terminal block connectors and 0-60ºC operating temperature facilitates an easy fit into any control cabinet where
industrial devices, such as PLCs, RTUs, flow meters or other controllers may exist.
This modem is designed for applications where remote access to industrial equipment via standard telephone lines is required. For example, it could be used in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) scenarios where one needs to monitor, control or receive knowledge of alarms and events from a remote industrial device.
It is also valuable for remote troubleshooting. By plugging a Digi One IA Modem into a remote industrial device, anyone authorized can dial directly into a remote location to troubleshoot problems as they occur.
