NEW! SEL-2725 Five-Port Ethernet Switch
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories introduced the world’s first digital relay in 1984,
revolutionizing the power protection industry by offering fault locating and other features for a fraction
of the cost of earlier systems. In the years since, SEL has grown and developed a complete line of
products and services for the protection, monitoring, control, automation, and metering of electric
power systems. SEL’s multidisciplinary teams of power, communications, automation, software,
mechanical, and electronic design engineers develop products that meet or exceed customer needs
for features, functionality, and robustness. B&B Electronics has partnered with SEL to bring you a select
offering of their ultra hardened products designed for your most rugged applications.
Ultra-hardened for electrical substation & industrial plant networks
The SEL-2725 is an ultra-hardened, unmanaged, five-port switch designed for Ethernet networks in electrical substations, industrial plants, and other mission critical sites.
Tough -
Withstands vibration, electrical surges, electrostatic discharge,
fast transients, and extreme temperatures. Meets or exceeds
IEEE 1613 (Class 2) and IEC 61850-3 standards for communications
networking devices in electric power substations. The SEL-2725
drops no packets throughout this rigorous testing.
Reliable -
Depend on reliability from SEL. Compare their superior specification
compliance, lower price, and ten-year, worldwide warranty to
alternatives. Directly power from 12, 24, or 48 Vdc, or 125/250 Vdc
or Vac. Observed power supply mean time between failures (MTBF)
exceeds 3,000 years.
Simple -
Easily apply unmanaged no-settings switch/media converter.
Just connect power, Ethernet devices, and the fiber-optic Ethernet
network. LED indicators simplify commissioning and network
problem solving. The copper Ethernet ports automatically configure
for crossover cables, speed, and half- or full-duplex operation.
Safe -
Convert copper Ethernet links to fiber-optic Ethernet links. Use
fiber-optic Ethernet links outside of cabinets for increased safety
and electrical noise immunity.
