The SG2 Series offers the price of a programmable relay
with the capability of a small PLC. With inputs and outputs
expandable up to 44 I/O, this intelligent relay will control
almost all discrete systems. Throw in the capability of analog
inputs, high speed counters, and communication options,
and you have a very powerful controller.
Next, the SG2 comes with FREE software. And it is as
functional as any competitor’s software that you have to pay
for. Programmable in ladder logic or function block diagrams,
use your computer.
Flexible, easy to use, and very cost effective, the SG2 is ideal
for small machine applications such as car washes, packaging
machines and many other applications.

FREE Software that will empower you with its simplicity
Even though the SG2 is programmable through the face panel,
you can communicate with your SG2 controller with custom
designed software from your computer. Choose
either ladder logic or function blocks to program with.
Use up to 200 lines of ladder logic or 99 function blocks.
Program includes most standard options including counter,
timers and real time clocks.
Ladder logic programming
With 200 lines of programming and 4 instructions
per line, 800 instructions are available. |
Function block diagram
For those not familiar with ladder logic, a simpler programming
language is offered. Drag and drop items from a template and the
software walks you through the language. With built-in help files,
the Function Block Diagram programming is very easy to use.

To make troubleshooting easier, our programming software has a simulator mode to test your programming before you go live.
With the ability to simulate input changes, discrete or analog, and monitor outputs, your programming becomes very efficient.
You can even watch the display to make sure it is correct. |

3. Select communication modules
To remotely communicate to the controller or integrate the PLC into any existing network,
add a communication module. Combine these modules with existing B&B Electronics communication

4. Select software and accessories
Now that you have completed your controller, there are accessories available.
The free programming software is downloadable here.
The controller may be programmed via a computer.
Depending on your system, you probably will need a programming cable that comes
with a CD with software included.
Lastly, a memory pack is available for all base modules. The memory pack, similar to a thumb
drive on your personal computer, will store the program in your controller. This may serve as a
backup in case something bad happens. For an OEM, this can provide labor savings as the
memory pack may be used to download the same program into multiple controllers.
